About Me...

Hello Friends,

I am Dhanya, working as a software professional in Baker Hughes, India. I am from the southern state of India, Kerala. I lived for around 15 years in the magical city of Dubai before moving back to India in 2022. My husband, Raghu and my son, Aagney love to explore new destinations and we try to make each of our trip memorable and enjoyable. These memories are undoubtedly the most valuable treasures to cherish in life for us.

UAE is the first country abroad that I visited and that was for my job. I always had the dreams of travelling around the globe to visit all those places that I had studied in my History and Geography classes... well, nothing is impossible when the desire is strong and the support from the family is positive. We started our first trip from Dubai to Europe, when our boy was 2 years old, in 2011. From then till now, we have covered more than 30 countries and the journey continues. I worked with Emirates Airlines while living in Dubai and Thank You Emirates for the staff travel benefits which we truly enjoyed while working with the airline :)

Travel, as per me, is not just to visit a place...its much more than that. The wealth of experience we earn after every trip is enormous. Its unbelievable, how easily we get to adapt to situations, overcome the language barriers, love another country's traditions which is way different from ours, experience their unique ways of living, enjoy their food habits and culture and carry back with us the goodness from all around the world. The more we explore this world, we find ourselves more loving, accommodating, broadminded and above all a better human being.

I keep telling my son that he is lucky to have visited a lot of countries and historical sites before he gets to learn about those in his subjects at school, where as his mom n dad were imagining them in their classes in their childhood :)

Apart from travel, I love travel photography, which you will see in all my posts, a small souvenir collection from the countries visited, a little bit of dancing and stage performances etc. My son has recently picked up coin and currency collection as well.

This is a humble beginning for me and I dedicate this website to a few of my most favorite and special people in life.
