Willkommen in Österreich!!

Austria was first of the six countries covered in our very first Europe trip back in 2011. We had just made up our mind to pack bags and see the world after waiting 2+ years of our son's birth. This place remains close to our heart as it was our first destination away from the UAE.

Since we were not familiar with an end to end tour plan, we decided to go with a tour agency on a coach tour for 15 days in Europe. After our very first trip, we decided never to do that again :). Since then, its been our own planning and execution, wherever possible, which gives several times more satisfaction and meaning to the trips.

Our itinerary was

1) Innsbruck

2) Swarovski Crystal World

We landed in Vienna and took a domestic flight to Innsbruck, a lovely town in Austria.

Innsbruck is indeed beautiful with its Alpine views, lovely streets, beautiful wooden houses ornamented with bright coloured flowers, apple orchards etc. We walked around the streets soon after checking in to our hotel.

Later in the evening, we visited the Swarovski Kristallwelten (Swarovski Crystal Worlds). Swarovski is a family run business founded by Daniel Swarovski. These are precious glass wares, optics and crystal jewelry, world famous and truly exotic. The crystal world is fabulous with numerous displays of miniatures and jewelry works.
