Willkommen in der Schweiz!!

Snow in Switzerland!!! Yes, we had our life's first snow encounter at Jungfrau in Switzerland. Since then there has been many, however this one remains so memorable, as we were super excited to run around and play in snow, for the first time ever!!

We reached Switzerland - a destination everybody would love to visit once in their lifetime - from Italy via road. This place is truly exotic, no wonder why so many Bollywood songs are shot here. We all are very familiar with this beautiful country watching in several of our movies.

Our itinerary was

1) Engelberg

2) Lucern and Interlaken

3) Jungfrau

4) Mt Titlis

5) Zurich

Engelberg is a captivating village with mountain views all around. It is convenient to cover a lot of interesting places from this beautiful village. We stayed in a nice hotel with mountain view.

We started our trip to Lucerne and Interlaken and then to Jungfrau by a train

We visited the Trummelbach falls and after spending some time, started to Jungfrau

Jungfrau is the Young Mountain, also known as Top of Europe - The highest point in Europe! The rail trip up the peak is very scenic. The panorama changes from lush green meadows to misty and snowy glaciers. At the top, is the beautiful view of glaciers and we can play around the snow. We enjoyed our first snow expedition!

Next day was to Mt Titlis on a cable car. With the scenic views of meadows and swiss bells ring from the herds of grazing cows below, the cable car ride was very interesting. The day awaited more snow for us to our delight. Snow sledge, ice flyer, Titlis Rotair cable etc, overall great time...

It was quite nice to see Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol from their famous movie DDLJ at the top of Mt Titlis!

After leaving the mountain, we visited the Lion Monument and the city of Lucerne

From Lucerne, we left for Zurich. We had an orientation tour of the city, saw the UN Head Quarters and the famous Zurich Jet d'Eau. We then left for the border of France to continue our journey to Paris.
